Service Update: Moving on From Moving

Cameron Ungar and Stashy

Trash and Stash is growing. we’re thrilled with our progress and grateful for your support and trust. We expect 2023 to be incredible.

We’re always on the lookout for ways to improve our services. Sometimes that comes by way of customer feedback. Other times it’s through continuing education avenues. And most often, it’s through self reflection.

This is an important and sometimes humbling experience.

After much discussion, we’ve decided to make a change. We will no longer be offering moving help that requires transport (use of truck and trailer). Full service moving was not really supposed to be a service we offered. It became a thing we did organically. We were asked to fill a gap in the market for small and local moving. As much as we enjoy this work, we’ve decided to focus on “trash.” We’re excited about what’s coming and eager to share the changes and updates as they roll out.

UPDATE: Service Change means better prices!

Inflation is crazy. So we’re doing something crazier. We’re lowering prices. There are 4 reasons for this:

1. We’ve gotten better at our job. Increased skill and improved efficiency means we can do the work faster and easier than we could a year ago.

2. We’d like to work more. We don’t want to compete on price. But, more aggressive pricing should land us more jobs. And our trucks are ready to roll!

3. We’re more focused. By cutting out our moving work, we have fewer operational challenges. This means a more nimble junk removal service.

New focus on junk removal means better prices.
4. We’re reprioritizing environmentally responsible disposal practices. So, when more junk is properly disposed of, less ends up in the landfill.

Please continue to call us for residential and commercial junk removal, donation services and cleanouts. We’ll also still be available to help with in- house moves, furniture rearranging and truck loading/ unloading (moves that don’t require transport).

Thanks!

Cam

PS: Speaking of change, we’ve also discontinued our microstorage service. The concept was strong and worked really well for some people. That said, storage is a resource heavy endeavor and one we don’t have the bandwidth to execute in the way we envisioned.

Junk removal was not my first career choice. It was my best choice though. I used to run events for a living. I did that for almost 15 years until a global pandemic launched me into the junk removal business. I’m an expert in operations, team building & creating incredible customer experiences. And... I love helping people simplify their lives.
