Charlotte-area junk removal start-up Trash & Stash joins reSupply network for win-win partnership
*Update (1/5/23)* ReSupply now powers priority donation pick up services for Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region Restore locations as well as Goodwill Industries. When you schedule a priority pick up through Restore or Goodwill, there’s a good chance you’ll get us!
Fort Mill, SC – Sept. 27, 2021 – Junk removal and microstorage start-up Trash & Stash is pleased to announce its new partnership with reSupply, a veteran-owned and operated tech service that facilitates pickup of goods donated to local charities.
Fort Mill-based Trash & Stash, launched in April, is now part of reSupply’s national network, delivering priority items to local non-profit Tender Hearts, which operates thrift stores in Charlotte, N.C.’s close by South Carolina suburbs of Clover, York, and Rock Hill. ReSupply now also provides donation pick up services to Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region.
“When an order comes in through reSupply, we are informed through their app and then handle the logistics of the pickup,” said Trash & Stash owner Cameron Ungar. “Right now, we are the only reSupply hauler in the Charlotte area.”
The partnership highlights both organizations’ commitment to reusing and recycling goods and diverting items from landfills. “Philosophically, we are aligned with our preference to donate over dump,” said Ungar.
It also underscores another aspect of Trash & Stash’s mission, a commitment to veteran services, of particular importance because key crew member Robert Mohorc is a military veteran.
reSupply, which recently expanded into the Charlotte market, was attracted to Trash & Stash because of the overwhelmingly positive online reviews the company consistently receives and because of its commitment to corporate social responsibility, said Bradford Knittle, Partnerships Manager with reSupply.
“There’s a handful of junk removal businesses across the country that scratch the surface of mitigating their disposal fees through donation but seeing that was on Trash & Stash’s website, it looks like something that was on the forefront of Cameron’s mind,” said Knittle. “At first glance it looked like a perfect fit. So, I called him and let him know about the program and we partnered up from there.”
