Trash and Stash Publishes Homeowner's Guide to the Circular Economy
B- Corp certified junk removal company shows how families can reduce waste, save money and live sustainably.
Fort Mill, SC — August 2025 — Trash and Stash, America’s first and only B Corp–certified junk removal service, has released a new white paper, “Embracing the Circular Economy: A Homeowner’s Guide to Sustainable Living.” The guide is designed to help homeowners put circular economy principles into practice — transforming the way households buy, reuse, repair, and dispose of everyday items.
Unlike the traditional “take-make-dispose” model, the circular economy keeps materials in use, minimizes waste, and regenerates natural systems. The Trash and Stash white paper breaks down this global concept into simple, actionable steps for homeowners in the Carolinas and beyond.
Highlights from the white paper include:
Smart purchasing strategies: choosing durable, eco-friendly, and repairable products.
Second-hand solutions: shopping resale, donating, and supporting local upcycling businesses.
Repair and maintenance practices: extending product lifespans through DIY and local artisans.
Responsible disposal: leveraging composting, recycling, and B Corp–certified junk removal to keep items out of landfills.
“As a junk removal company, we see firsthand how much waste can be avoided,” said Cameron Ungar, founder of Trash and Stash. “Our team diverted nearly 50% of the material we handled in 2025, and this white paper is about showing families that they can be part of the solution too. Small choices at home add up to meaningful environmental impact.”
The paper also highlights Charlotte’s growing leadership in sustainability, including initiatives like Envision Charlotte and the Innovation Barn, and connects Trash and Stash’s efforts to a broader community movement.
